Educational Seminars, All Colors Night, Capital Pride Leather Contest,
and Community Service Awards Announced for DCLeatherPRIDE2008
Nominations Now Being Accepted for Community Service Awards
Organizers of DCLeatherPRIDE2008 are pleased to announce activities and events for
DCLeatherPRIDE2008 being held June 6-8, 2008 in Washington, D.C. Currently planned are:

Educational Seminars and Classes to be held on Saturday June 7, 2008 from 11:00am – 6:00pm at
the DC Eagle. Educational Seminars, being produced by MTTA, Inc., will include sessions for those
new to the leather lifestyle as well as intermediate and expert.

This year members of the leather community can nominate individuals and/or organizations to receive Community Service Awards. Nominations must be sent by Friday May 2, 2008 to DCLeatherPRIDE@aol.com. When making nominations, please include the name of the person or organization being nominated, the reason why this person or organization should receive a Community Service Award, the phone number and email address of the person or organization being nominated, and ensure that the person or organization knows that a nomination is being made. Awards will be presented during “All Colors Night” Saturday June 7, 2008 at the DC Eagle. In 2007,
Community Service Awards were presented to the DC Eagle, the Scarlet’s Foundation, and the Spartan MC.

DCLeatherPRIDE will also include the Mr. and Ms. Capital Pride Leather Contests to be held Friday
night June 6, 2008 at 10pm at the Green Lantern. The Mr. and Ms. Capital Pride Leather Contests are produced by Cocker Productions, LLC. Winners will be presented during All Colors Night and will march in the Capital Pride parade.
Now in its 3rd year, DCLeatherPRIDE’s mission is to celebrate the rich leather history of the Metro DC region, to provide education of the leather lifestyle in a safe and healthy setting, and to create a welcoming environment into the leather community and leather clubs for those interested or new to leather and the leather lifestyle.

Beneficiaries for DCLeatherPRIDE are Brother Help Thyself (BHT) and the Metro DC GLBT
